Arrival & Introduction
Midday entry through the park gate. Drive to your bungalow, passing through Wilpattu's forest canopy. Lunch prepared by your private chef. 3PM: introductory game drive — a gentle circuit of the lake systems near your bungalow to learn the terrain. Return at sunset. Dinner on the veranda.
The Core Zones
6AM: morning drive focusing on core leopard territory — tracking fresh pugmarks and interpreting alarm calls. 10AM: breakfast. Midday rest. 3PM: evening safari exploring a different zone — perhaps the deeper interior lakes where sloth bears are frequently spotted. Return after sunset.
Kudiramalai Expedition
Pack breakfast and head out early for a full-day expedition to Kudiramalai Point, Wilpattu's remote western boundary. All-day tracking through the park's most pristine terrain. Picnic lunch on the coast. Return in the late afternoon — an unforgettable journey across the entire park.
Farewell Safari
6AM: final dawn drive — often the most magical. Last chance to track that leopard, observe the elephants one more time. 10AM: celebratory breakfast. Check out and scenic drive back to the gate by 12PM.
